Overview

Hectinib is an orally bioavailable small molecule developed by Calgent Biotechnology that targets the HECT (Homologous to the E6-AP Carboxyl Terminus) family of E3 ubiquitin ligases. By modulating or inhibiting the activity of these ligases, Hectinib aims to disrupt the protein degradation pathways that multiple myeloma cells rely on for survival and proliferation. The drug has received Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA for the treatment of multiple myeloma and is currently undergoing clinical evaluation.
