Hedan Tablets

Hedan Tablets (Hedan Pian) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Shaanxi Buchang Pharmaceutical for the treatment of metabolic disorders, specifically hyperlipidemia and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The formulation is composed of five primary herbal ingredients: *Folium Nelumbinis* (Lotus leaf), *Fructus Crataegi* (Hawthorn), *Rhizoma Alismatis* (Water plantain), *Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae* (Danshen), and *Radix Polygoni Multiflori* (He Shou Wu). Pharmacologically, Hedan Tablets acts to regulate lipid metabolism, reduce serum total cholesterol and triglycerides, and exert anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. In the context of TCM theory, it is indicated for patients with the phlegm-turbidity and blood stasis pattern. It has been evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for its efficacy and safety in adults with nonalcoholic simple fatty liver disease.
