Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Heeraka bhasma** is a traditional Ayurvedic Rasashastra herbomineral preparation made by purification and repeated incineration of diamond-derived material, yielding a particulate formulation that has been described as nanoscale diamond-based material. It has no International Nonproprietary Name, single proprietary originator, or established Western molecular target. Classical Ayurvedic literature describes use in conditions including internal abscesses, tumors, angina pectoris, and tuberculosis. A preclinical mouse study of a preparation termed Ayu_ND reported immune activation, reduced Dalton's lymphoma tumor burden, and changes in cytokine and T-cell parameters; these findings do not establish clinical efficacy in humans.
