Heiguteng Zhuifeng Huoluo Capsule

Heiguteng Zhuifeng Huoluo Capsule (HZFC) is a multi-component traditional Chinese medicine used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and cold arthralgia syndrome. As a Miao ethnomedicine, it is derived from multiple herbal sources, including Sinomenium acutum, Periploca forrestii, and Lygodium paridiformis stenophylla Franch. Studies have identified over 80 chemical constituents, primarily alkaloids, phenylpropanoids, and steroids. The key active alkaloids include sinomenine, dihydrosinomenine, and magnoflorine. The therapeutic effect is believed to stem from its anti-inflammatory properties, which involve the inhibition of NF-κB expression and other inflammatory pathways, leading to a reduction in joint inflammation and providing analgesic effects.
