Overview
HEKT (High Efficient Killing Cell Therapy) is an investigational adoptive cell-based immunotherapy developed by Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase I prospective exploratory trial (NCT03193567) for the treatment of refractory advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in patients who have failed at least two lines of chemotherapy and one line of targeted therapy. The therapy involves the administration of specialized immune cells designed to exhibit potent anti-tumor activity. While the specific cellular composition and biological targets have not been publicly disclosed, the treatment represents a form of personalized biologic therapy aimed at overcoming resistance in advanced lung cancer.
