Overview
Heliosael is a light-curing, white-pigmented, resin-based fissure sealant used for the prevention of dental caries by sealing pits and fissures in permanent teeth. It is typically composed of Bis-GMA and other dimethacrylates. In the context of the Tanta University study, it was used as a conventional control to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of ICON resin infiltration in children aged 6-8 years. The material is applied to the tooth surface and then polymerized using a curing light to form a hard, protective layer.
