Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Helius THC10:CBD10 Full Spectrum is a New Zealand-produced, full-spectrum cannabis-based oral liquid solution containing a balanced 1:1 ratio of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), with each phytocannabinoid present at a concentration of 10 mg/mL. Developed and manufactured by Helius Therapeutics, the product is formulated as a plant extract in oil for sublingual administration. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial sponsored by the University of Auckland for the treatment of insomnia in adults with chronic back pain. The medication works by interacting with the endocannabinoid system, primarily acting as an agonist at the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors to modulate pain and sleep pathways.
