Elbracane (엘브라칸) is an injectable immunotherapeutic agent developed by LB Abnoba, containing hemocyanin derived from the Roman snail (*Helix pomatia*). It is primarily utilized in South Korea as an adjuvant treatment for patients with superficial bladder cancer to prevent recurrence following transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT). As a high-molecular-weight, highly immunogenic protein, it acts as a non-specific immunostimulant that triggers the host's immune system. The administration of Elbracane leads to the recruitment and activation of various immune effectors, including natural killer (NK) cells, macrophages, and cytotoxic T-cells, while also stimulating the production of pro-inflammatory Th1 cytokines such as interferon-gamma. This heightened state of immune vigilance helps the body recognize and destroy residual malignant cells, thereby reducing the risk of tumor relapse.
