Overview
Heluo Shugan Pian is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed and manufactured by Shaanxi Momentum Pharmaceutical (also known as Shaanxi Momentum Qixuehe Pharmaceutical). The formulation consists of 27 herbal ingredients, including prepared Cyperus rotundus, turmeric, Sanleng, Bupleurum, Radix Paeoniae, Angelica, prepared Polygonum multiflorum, and Polygonum cuspidatum. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis and early-stage liver cirrhosis. Its therapeutic actions, described within the framework of TCM, include soothing the liver and regulating qi, clearing damp-heat, promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, and nourishing the liver and kidneys. As a complex herbal mixture, it functions through multiple pharmacological pathways rather than a single molecular target.
