Overview

HemaMax is a recombinant human interleukin-12 (rHuIL-12) developed by Neumedicines Inc. It is an IL-12 based biologic designed to stimulate immune and hematopoietic recovery. The drug is being developed for multiple indications, including the treatment of hematopoietic syndrome of acute radiation syndrome (HSARS), prevention of surgical site infections, and acceleration of healing in traumatic wounds. Significant funding from the U.S. Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) has supported its development, particularly for radiomitigation and military medical needs.
