Hemangioblast (HG) Cell Therapy is an investigational cell-based therapy consisting of hemangioblast precursor cells derived from human embryonic stem cells (hESCs). These cells are bipotential progenitors capable of differentiating into both vascular (endothelial) and hematopoietic (blood and immune) cell lineages. Developed by Advanced Cell Technology (now part of Astellas Pharma) in partnership with CHA Biotech, the therapy is designed to promote vascular repair and the reconstitution of blood and immune cells. Preclinical research published in *Nature Methods* demonstrated that these cells home to sites of vascular injury and restore blood flow in animal models of limb ischemia and myocardial infarction. The program was positioned for the treatment of various conditions, including peripheral artery disease, diabetic vascular complications, stroke, and myocardial infarction.
