Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hemastim P is a biosimilar recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) developed by Amega Biotech. It functions as an agonist of the erythropoietin receptor (EPOR), mimicking the action of endogenous erythropoietin to stimulate the proliferation and differentiation of erythroid progenitor cells in the bone marrow. This process, known as erythropoiesis, leads to an increase in red blood cell production and hemoglobin levels. Hemastim P is primarily indicated for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD), oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, and other conditions characterized by insufficient red blood cell production.
