Hemathera

Hemathera is an ex vivo activated immune cell therapy developed by Shenzhen Zhongxing Yangfan Biotech for the treatment of idiopathic aplastic anemia, particularly in patients who are not eligible for bone marrow transplantation. The therapy involves the intravenous administration of autologous or allogeneic immune cells that have been activated outside the body. These activated cells are hypothesized to produce a variety of potent hematopoietic cytokines that work in concert to stimulate the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells. Additionally, the cells are thought to home to hematopoietic sites such as the bone marrow, spleen, and liver, where direct cell-cell contact further supports hematopoietic activity and restores blood cell production.
