Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hemay808 is a topical ointment formulation containing the novel small molecule Hemay028, developed as a phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor. It is designed for local application to treat inflammatory skin diseases, primarily atopic dermatitis. By inhibiting PDE4, Hemay808 reduces the breakdown of cyclic AMP in immune cells, thereby decreasing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators involved in skin inflammation. The drug aims to provide effective anti-inflammatory action with minimized systemic exposure and toxicity risks due to its topical route of administration. Clinical trials have completed Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies in China for mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis[1][2][3][4][6].
