Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hemocare-XT is an oral combination supplement developed and marketed by MMC Pharmaceuticals, primarily indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia and anemia resulting from chronic blood loss or pregnancy. The formulation contains 100 mg of elemental iron and 1.5 mg of folic acid. Elemental iron serves to replenish systemic iron stores necessary for hemoglobin synthesis and oxygen transport, while folic acid acts as an essential cofactor for erythropoiesis and DNA synthesis. Clinical data has demonstrated that treatment with Hemocare-XT leads to significant improvements in hemoglobin levels, particularly in women of reproductive age. It is also used to address mineral deficiencies related to poor nutrition and digestive disorders.
