Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This hemp-derived cannabinoid formulation is an investigational product developed by researchers at Washington State University, led by Dr. Carrie Cuttler, to treat symptoms associated with menopause and perimenopause. The formulation is a non-intoxicating tincture containing minor cannabinoids, such as cannabigerol (CBG), and terpenes. It is designed to alleviate anxiety, depression, physical pain, and sleep disturbances by targeting the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which plays a role in maintaining physiological and hormonal homeostasis. The product is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial to assess its efficacy and safety in women aged 40 to 60.
