Hemp seed protein hydrolysate fraction F2 is a bioactive peptide mixture (molecular weight 5-10 kDa) derived from the enzymatic digestion of hemp seed (*Cannabis sativa* L.) protein isolate. It is produced through sequential digestion with pepsin and pancreatin—simulating human gastrointestinal digestion—achieving a degree of hydrolysis of approximately 48.11%. Following hydrolysis, the mixture is separated into molecular weight-based fractions via ultrafiltration. Fraction F2 is primarily characterized by its significant intracellular antioxidant activity, demonstrated by its ability to reduce reactive oxygen species (ROS) in Caco-2 cell models. Additionally, it exhibits antiproliferative effects against malignant cell lines such as Caco-2 (colorectal cancer) and THP-1 (leukemia). It is investigated as a functional food ingredient or nutraceutical supplement for chemoprotection and the management of oxidative stress in oncologic support.
