Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hengyan Kuntai Capsules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation primarily used in China for the treatment of menopausal syndrome and diminished ovarian reserve (DOR). The capsule is composed of six traditional herbal ingredients: *Rehmannia glutinosa*, *Coptis chinensis*, *Paeonia lactiflora*, *Scutellaria baicalensis*, *Poria cocos*, and *Asini Corii Colla*. Mechanistically, the formulation is believed to regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis, improve ovarian microcirculation, and exert phytoestrogenic effects. Clinical studies, including Phase 4 trials, have evaluated its efficacy in improving ovarian reserve markers such as antral follicle count (AFC) and anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels in women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies like IVF-ET.
