Overview

Hepafast is a high-protein, high-soluble fiber, and low-carbohydrate meal replacement formula diet designed to support liver fat reduction ('liver fasting' or 'Leberfasten') and weight loss. Developed by Bodymed (acquired by Nestlé Health Science in 2020), Hepafast is typically used as a short-term dietary intervention to reduce hepatic steatosis (fatty liver) and improve metabolic parameters, such as blood glucose, insulin resistance, and blood pressure, in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), obesity, and type 2 diabetes.
