Heparina cálcica is an anticoagulant medication that is the calcium salt of heparin. It's primarily used for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders. ## Mechanism of Action Heparina cálcica works by inhibiting blood coagulation through potentiating the inhibitory effect of antithrombin III on factors IIa and Xa in the coagulation cascade[1][4].
