Overview

Twinrix Paediatric is a combination vaccine developed by GSK for the prevention of Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B in children and adolescents aged 1 to 15 years. It consists of inactivated Hepatitis A virus (HAV) antigens and recombinant Hepatitis B surface antigens (HBsAg) adsorbed onto aluminum salts. The vaccine stimulates the production of specific antibodies against both viruses, providing long-term immunity. It is typically administered as a three-dose schedule and is indicated for non-immune individuals at risk of infection from both pathogens.
