Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HAVpur Junior is a pediatric virosomal hepatitis A vaccine designed to protect against infection by the hepatitis A virus (HAV), a serious liver disease transmitted through contaminated food, water, or person-to-person contact. The vaccine contains inactivated or weakened strains of the virus formulated with virosomes and is administered intramuscularly. It stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies against HAV, providing seroprotection in children as young as 1 year old. Clinical studies have shown that HAVpur Junior induces an immune response comparable to other established pediatric hepatitis A vaccines such as Havrix 720 Junior and is well tolerated with a favorable safety profile. The product does not contain aluminum adjuvant and is suitable for inclusion in childhood vaccination schedules[1][3][4][5].
