This combination refers to the concurrent administration of an inactivated hepatitis A vaccine and a 7-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV7). The hepatitis A component provides active immunity against the hepatitis A virus (HAV) using inactivated viral antigens. The PCV7 component, historically marketed as Prevnar, provides protection against seven serotypes of *Streptococcus pneumoniae* (4, 6B, 9V, 14, 18C, 19F, and 23F) by conjugating their capsular polysaccharides to a CRM197 carrier protein, which enhances the immune response in infants and young children. While these vaccines are frequently co-administered as part of standard pediatric immunization schedules, they are typically supplied as separate products rather than a single fixed-dose combination. Clinical studies have confirmed that co-administration is safe and does not result in significant immune interference between the two vaccines.
