Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hepatitis B human immunoglobulin (HBIG) from Zhejiang Haikang Biological Products is a plasma-derived biologic containing high titers of anti-HBs antibodies. It is used to provide immediate, passive immunity against the hepatitis B virus (HBV). The product is primarily indicated for the prevention of hepatitis B infection in high-risk individuals, most notably for neonatal passive immunization in infants born to HBsAg-positive mothers. It is also used for post-exposure prophylaxis following accidental exposure to HBV-contaminated blood or body fluids. As a product of Zhejiang Haikang (a subsidiary of Shanghai RAAS), it is manufactured from screened human plasma collected at specialized donation centers.
