Overview
CVI-HBV-001 is a third-generation hepatitis B vaccine developed by CHA Vaccine Institute. It contains the entire hepatitis B virus (HBV) surface antigen, including both preS and S proteins, and uses alum as an adjuvant. This formulation is designed to induce higher antibody titers with only two injections compared to second-generation vaccines, providing faster and enhanced immune responses. The vaccine aims to offer rapid protection and higher seroprotection rates, particularly in non-responder populations and high-risk groups. Clinical trials have shown that CVI-HBV-001 can induce rapid seroprotection with just two immunizations[1][2][3].
