Overview
Hepatitis B vaccine recombinant is a biologic used to prevent infection by the hepatitis B virus. It contains purified hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) produced using recombinant DNA technology in yeast cells. The vaccine stimulates the immune system to produce specific antibodies against HBsAg, conferring protection against all known subtypes of the virus.
