Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hepax is an oral polyherbal formulation developed by Anglo-French Drugs & Industries, primarily indicated for the support of liver health and detoxification. It is formulated as a syrup or tablet containing a blend of traditional Ayurvedic herbs, including *Plumbago zeylanica* (Chitraka), *Picrorrhiza kurroa* (Katuka), *Phyllanthus emblica* (Amalaki), *Terminalia chebula* (Haritaki), *Piper nigrum* (Maricha), and *Zingiber officinale* (Ardraka). Hepax is used to manage liver-related conditions such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), alcoholic fatty liver disease (AFLD), viral and infective hepatitis, jaundice, and loss of appetite. It acts as a hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant agent, helping to normalize liver enzymes (ALT, AST) and total bilirubin levels, promote bile flow, and support liver cell regeneration.
