Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HER2-ADC (Nexus Alliance Biopharmaceuticals) is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) currently in preclinical development for the treatment of HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer. The therapeutic candidate is designed to target the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), a transmembrane protein that is overexpressed in approximately 20-25% of breast cancers and drives aggressive tumor growth. By utilizing a HER2-targeting monoclonal antibody—potentially a biosimilar of trastuzumab as suggested by developmental references to "Herception"—the ADC selectively binds to malignant cells. Upon internalization, the ADC delivers a potent cytotoxic payload directly into the cancer cell, aiming to maximize anti-tumor efficacy while minimizing systemic toxicity and off-target effects associated with traditional chemotherapy.
