Overview

HER2 bispecific antibodies are a class of engineered therapeutic antibodies designed to simultaneously bind to two distinct epitopes, often including the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), also known as ErbB2 or neu. These antibodies aim to enhance therapeutic efficacy by blocking multiple signaling pathways, inducing immune responses, or facilitating receptor cross-linking. They are primarily developed for the treatment of HER2-positive cancers, where HER2 overexpression is associated with tumor progression. Some HER2 bispecific antibodies may also target other receptors like HER3 or immune checkpoints such as CD47 to further improve anti-tumor activity.
