HER2-CAR refers to a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) therapy targeting the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2). In the specific context of research from the University of Southern California, this involves a novel approach for glioblastoma (GBM) where glioblastoma stem cells (GSCs) are reprogrammed in situ into myeloid-like cells that express a HER2-specific CAR.
