Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HER2-newC apoptosis inducer is a monoclonal antibody currently in the IND-enabling stage of development by IcanoMAB GmbH, in partnership with MAB Discovery GmbH. It specifically targets the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) and is designed for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer, including early-stage disease. Unlike traditional HER2-targeted therapies that primarily inhibit signaling or recruit immune cells, this candidate is characterized by its ability to directly induce apoptosis in HER2-expressing cancer cells. The antibody was originally generated using MAB Discovery's proprietary antibody discovery platform and is part of IcanoMAB's portfolio of precision canonical antibodies.
