Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HER2 SIR-T is an investigational cell therapy being developed by Angeles Therapeutics for the treatment of HER2-positive solid tumors. The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary Synthetic Immune Receptor (SIR) platform, which involves engineering T-cells with a synthetic receptor designed to mimic the natural T-cell receptor (TCR) complex. By targeting the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), these SIR-T cells are intended to recognize and eliminate cancer cells while potentially providing superior signaling, persistence, and safety compared to traditional CAR-T cell therapies. The SIR platform is specifically designed to integrate with the endogenous TCR signaling machinery, allowing for a more physiological immune response. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
