HER2-targeted UCAR-T cell injection is an allogeneic, "off-the-shelf" chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2/ERBB2). Unlike traditional autologous CAR-T therapies, UCAR-T cells are derived from healthy donors and typically undergo gene editing (such as knocking out the TCR and HLA molecules) to minimize the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) and immune rejection by the recipient. This specific product is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced or relapsed/refractory high-grade gliomas, where HER2 is often overexpressed. The therapy is administered via intratumoral injection to directly target the tumor microenvironment in the central nervous system.
