Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Angeles Therapeutics is developing HER2 x IL13Rα2 SIR-T, a preclinical Synthetic Immune Receptor T-cell (SIR-T) therapy designed to treat solid tumors. The therapy utilizes a dual-targeting approach, simultaneously binding to Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) and Interleukin-13 Receptor subunit alpha-2 (IL13Rα2). The SIR-T platform is a proprietary engineered T-cell technology intended to improve upon the signaling and persistence limitations of conventional CAR-T therapies. By targeting two distinct antigens, this candidate is engineered to overcome tumor heterogeneity and prevent immune escape, with potential applications in aggressive cancers such as glioblastoma.
