Hesperidin + naringin is a combination of two citrus flavonoids, both naturally occurring polyphenolic compounds found in citrus fruits. This combination has been studied for its potential antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiapoptotic effects. Preclinical studies indicate that the combined administration of hesperidin and naringin can counteract drug-induced liver injury (such as diclofenac-induced hepatotoxicity) by reducing oxidative stress markers, inflammatory cytokines (e.g., TNF-α, IL-17), and apoptotic gene expression (p53, caspase-3), while increasing protective factors like glutathione content and antioxidant enzyme activities (GPx, SOD). The combination appears more potent than either compound alone in these models[2]. Both compounds are also individually used or studied for vascular health benefits such as improving symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency and hemorrhoids[1].
