Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Heweiyangxue is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by the Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, affiliated with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The formula is designed to address chemotherapy-related gastrointestinal reactions, such as nausea, vomiting, and anorexia, in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Based on TCM principles, Heweiyangxue aims to benefit qi, nourish blood, and tonify the stomach to mitigate the toxic side effects of chemotherapy. It is currently being evaluated in randomized controlled trials to establish its clinical efficacy and safety as a supportive care intervention for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
