A live attenuated, oral **hexavalent rotavirus vaccine** developed using **reassortant rotavirus strains** derived to cover the six predominant global rotavirus serotypes: G1, G2, G3, G4, G9, and P1A[8]. The vaccine is designed to provide broad-spectrum protection against rotavirus gastroenteritis. It is currently in phase I/II clinical development, with trials evaluating safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in infants, children, and adults. The vaccine is manufactured using Vero cells and is administered orally in three doses, 28 days apart. The vaccine is intended to address the broad genetic diversity of rotavirus globally and is under development to improve global immunization coverage against severe gastroenteritis caused by rotavirus[2][3][9].
