Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hexbio is a multi-strain probiotic (microbial cell preparation) developed by B-Crobes Laboratories. It contains 30 billion colony-forming units (CFU) of six specific bacterial strains: *Lactobacillus acidophilus* BCMC 12130, *Lactobacillus casei* subsp. BCMC 12313, *Lactobacillus lactis* BCMC 12451, *Bifidobacterium bifidum* BCMC 02290, *Bifidobacterium infantis* BCMC 02129, and *Bifidobacterium longum* BCMC 02120. Hexbio is designed to modulate the gut microbiota to reduce systemic inflammation and improve metabolic health. It has been clinically investigated for its efficacy in managing obesity, type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and as a supportive therapy for colorectal cancer patients post-surgery to reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines. The product is typically administered orally as granules in sachets.
