Hexuemingmu Tablet is a Chinese patent medicine (CPM) or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) composed of 19-flavored herbs, including Chuanxiong, Angelica, Red Pae, Radix, Moganlian, Nvzhenzi, Puhuang, Danpi, Danshen, and Chongweizi. It is primarily used in ophthalmology for the treatment of various retinal degenerative and fundus hemorrhagic diseases. Its traditional therapeutic properties include cooling the blood, removing blood stasis, stopping bleeding, nourishing yin, nourishing the liver, and improving eyesight. Modern pharmacological research indicates that Hexuemingmu Tablet exhibits anticoagulant, antivascular endothelial, hemorheological improvement, anti-inflammatory, anti-swelling, and antioxidant activities, contributing to its efficacy in improving ocular circulation and promoting the absorption of hemorrhage and exudation in the fundus.
