Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HFB200902 is a preclinical, first-in-class anti–galectin-9 monoclonal antibody immunotherapy originally developed by HiFiBiO Therapeutics for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia and solid tumors. It functions as a galectin-9 antagonist that neutralizes galectin-9 and blocks its interaction with the inhibitory receptors TIM3 and CD44, thereby preventing galectin-9–mediated immunosuppressive signaling in effector and regulatory T cells, inhibiting Th1 apoptosis and Treg expansion, and enhancing antitumor immune responses in preclinical tumor models, including in combination with PD-1 blockade.[1][3][5][7][9]
