HGI627 is a preclinical **oncolytic virus therapy** from Humane Genomics for pediatric liver cancers, including hepatoblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma. It is an engineered vesicular stomatitis virus designed with a two-factor tumor selectivity strategy: viral entry is retargeted toward **glypican 3** expressing tumor cells, and viral replication is controlled by a **CTNNB1-responsive** switch intended to preferentially activate in beta-catenin dysregulated liver cancer cells. The program is positioned to selectively infect, replicate within, and lyse malignant liver cells while sparing healthy tissue. Humane Genomics has identified HGI627 as its lead candidate, and Genezen has been named as a manufacturing partner for technology transfer, process development, and cGMP manufacturing support.
