Overview

HGP1069 is a small molecule inhibitor of Rho-associated protein kinase 2 (ROCK2) being developed by HitGen for the treatment of glaucoma. Formulated as an ocular eye drop, the drug aims to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) by targeting the trabecular meshwork and Schlemm's canal to increase aqueous humor outflow. Unlike traditional glaucoma medications, ROCK inhibitors directly target the conventional outflow pathway, potentially offering a novel therapeutic approach for patients. The drug is currently in the preclinical development and lead optimization phase.
