HH-006

HH-006 is an investigational Fc-engineered monoclonal antibody developed by Huahui Health for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It specifically targets the PreS1 region on the large (L) envelope protein of HBV, blocking viral binding to the sodium taurocholate cotransporting polypeptide (NTCP) receptor and thereby inhibiting HBV entry into hepatocytes. This mechanism also enables removal of free virions and infected hepatocytes. The drug is designed for subcutaneous injection with potential for long-term treatment cycles. As of 2024, HH-006 has completed Phase I clinical trials in healthy volunteers and is being further evaluated in patients with chronic HBV infection. It is also under development for hepatitis D virus (HDV) infection[1][2][3][5][7].
