Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HH201 is a synthetic small-molecule inhibitor being developed by Hedgehog Technology (also known as Hedgehog, Inc.) for the treatment of solid cancers. The drug targets the GLI1 transcription factor, which is the primary effector of the Hedgehog signaling pathway. By effectively blocking the transcriptional activity of GLI1, HH201 inhibits the expression of target genes induced by the Hedgehog pathway, which are known to drive tumor growth, cancer stem cell maintenance, and drug resistance. HH201 is currently in the early preclinical 'Hit' stage of development and represents a novel approach to suppressing Hedgehog pathway-driven transcription in tumors.
