HHY6-F9 is a **humanized monoclonal antibody** specifically developed to target fentanyl. It acts by binding fentanyl in the bloodstream, thereby neutralizing its pharmacological effects. In preclinical studies with rhesus monkeys, a single administration of HHY6-F9 substantially reduced fentanyl self-administration—without affecting heroin or cocaine use—and was as effective as naloxone in reversing fentanyl-induced ventilatory depression. Its pharmacodynamic profile supports protection against fentanyl toxicity for 2–3 weeks due to sustained fentanyl sequestration in serum. HHY6-F9 represents a novel candidate for treatment and prevention of fentanyl overdose and potentially for relapse prevention in opioid use disorder[1][3].
