Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HI-Bond Universal is a bioactive resin adhesive developed for dental applications, specifically for the treatment and esthetic masking of non-cavitated white-spot lesions (WSLs), which often occur following fixed orthodontic treatment. The material incorporates bioactive glass technology designed to facilitate the remineralization of dental enamel by releasing essential ions, such as calcium and phosphate, thereby increasing the mineral content of the lesion. In addition to its therapeutic remineralization potential, HI-Bond Universal acts as an infiltrant to mask the opaque white appearance of WSLs, providing an esthetic recovery comparable to traditional resin infiltration materials like Icon. It is primarily used to arrest the progression of early caries and restore the natural appearance of the tooth surface.
