Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The Hib conjugate vaccine is a polysaccharide conjugate vaccine being developed by Vabiotech, a Vietnamese biopharmaceutical company, for the prevention of *Haemophilus influenzae* type b (Hib) infections in children. The vaccine consists of the Hib polysaccharide capsule antigen chemically linked to a carrier protein. This conjugation converts the T-cell-independent polysaccharide into a T-cell-dependent antigen, thereby inducing a more robust immune response and immunological memory in infants and young children. It is intended for use as a standalone product or as a component of a 5-in-1 combination vaccine.
