Overview

HibTITER + DPT-IPV is a pentavalent pediatric vaccine combination evaluated by Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation for the prevention of multiple infectious diseases in infants. The regimen consists of MT-2301 (HibTITER), a conjugate vaccine where the Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) capsular polysaccharide (polyribosylribitol phosphate, PRP) is covalently linked to the CRM197 carrier protein (a non-toxic mutant of diphtheria toxin), co-administered with a DPT-IPV vaccine (targeting diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, and inactivated polio). This combination acts as an immunostimulant to induce protective antibody levels against five major pathogens. Although HibTITER was licensed from Nuron Biotech for the Japanese market, development of this specific co-administration protocol in Japan was discontinued in February 2017.
