Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hidrox is a branded olive-derived nutraceutical developed by Creagri that contains a standardized extract from freshly pressed olive juice enriched to approximately 40 to 50 percent hydroxytyrosol and other polyphenolic constituents. It is best characterized as an oral small-molecule natural product mixture marketed as a dietary supplement rather than a conventional pharmaceutical. Preclinical and patent literature describe antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity linked in part to activation of the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 antioxidant response pathway, with investigation in inflammatory and immune-mediated skin disorders, early diabetic neuropathy, and protection against oxidative-stress-related tissue injury such as cyclophosphamide-associated male infertility.
