hIgG8.8-MTI2 is an experimental antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Pfizer, consisting of a humanized control IgG antibody (hIgG8.8) conjugated to a microtubule inhibitor payload (MTI2). In preclinical studies, it was utilized as a non-targeting control ADC to evaluate the efficacy and specificity of IL-13Rα2-targeted ADCs (such as hAB08-MTI2) in cancer models, including glioblastoma, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers. As a control, it lacks the specific binding affinity for tumor-associated antigens, serving to differentiate target-mediated cytotoxicity from off-target effects of the payload.
